Late Sri S. A. Ramamoorthy was the founder of Srimukha Precision Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and his journey from humble beginnings to industrial leadership continues to inspire those who carry his legacy forward. Born in the village of Sengunam, he came to Chennai with little more than determination and a dream of building something meaningful. Having completed his Pre-University Course (PUC), he began his career as a Store Keeper in the Indian Railways, where he built the discipline, integrity, and work ethic that would go on to define his professional life.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he ventured into several businesses before finding his true calling in precision engineering. In 1985, at the age of 51 – an age when most people begin thinking of retirement – he took the boldest step of his career and founded Srimukha Precision Technologies. His willingness to take calculated risks at a stage when others chose to slow down, combined with sound financial judgment, laid the foundation for what would become a respected name in the automotive precision manufacturing industry.
Known for his bold decision-making and uncompromising values, Sri Ramamoorthy believed that sustainable success comes from integrity, hard work, and long-term relationships. He led by example, earning the trust of employees, customers, and business partners through his commitment to ethical business practices and consistent quality.
Beyond building a successful enterprise, his greatest legacy was mentoring the next generation of leaders, sharing his knowledge and experience to help them carry his vision forward while embracing innovation. He holds a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Crescent Engineering College, Chennai, and an M.S. from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
