Founded by Shri. S. A. Ramamoorthy in 1985, Srimukha Precision Technologies started operations as a conventional machining unit with just two Traub A-25 machines, serving local auto giants Lucas TVS and Ashok Leyland. Through decades of process depth and technological integration, Srimukha has expanded into a global precision manufacturer.

Operations Commenced

Srimukha Group founded, established as a conventional machining unit with 2 Traub A-25 machines, serving Lucas TVS and Ashok Leyland.

Capacity Expansion

Added thread rolling, milling, and grinding machines to expand manufacturing capability.

First CNC Turning Machine

Commissioned Srimukha’s first CNC turning machine.

2000

Alternator Rotor Line Established

Set up a dedicated alternator rotor manufacturing line.

CNC Cylindrical Grinding

Installed the first CNC cylindrical grinding machine and manual gear hobbing machine.

First CNC Gear Hobbing Machine

Commissioned Srimukha’s first CNC gear hobbing machine.

First CNC Centerless Grinding Machine

Added centerless grinding capability with the first CNC centerless grinding machine.

2010

Cold Forging Unit Started

Backward integration with a dedicated Cold Forging Unit using 150, 300 & 400-ton hydraulic presses.

SQF Heat Treatment & Induction Hardening

Set up the SQF heat treatment line, CNC induction hardening machine, and an exclusive production unit for Mitsuba, alongside Murata twin-spindle gantry machines.

2012

Knuckle Joint Press & Cold Forging Header

Installed a Komatsu knuckle joint press (600 tons) and a 4-station Malmedie cold forging header.

Exclusive Mitsuba Lines

Established exclusive production lines for Mitsuba’s SM15 (300K pcs/month) and SM05 (400K pcs/month) shafts.

2015

2WH Shaft Volumes Ramped Up

Scaled 2-wheeler starter motor shaft volumes to 700K pieces per month.

6-Station Part Former

Commissioned a 6-station cold forging part former (30B6S), running at 70 strokes per minute.

2017

5-Station Servo Knuckle Press

Installed a 5-station servo knuckle press for near-net-shape forging, minimizing downstream machining.

High-Precision Manufacturing

Entered high-precision blower shaft manufacturing, achieving roundness under 0.5 microns.

2020

Cellular Manufacturing & EV Entry

Adopted cellular manufacturing and flow production, entered safety-parts manufacturing, and established dedicated EV motor shaft production cells, reaching 3.6 million sets annual capacity.

EV Shafts at Scale

Developed mid-mount and hub motor EV shafts, now supplied to leading EV motor manufacturers.

CNC Gear Grinding

Commissioned a BURRI CNC gear grinding machine, enabling DIN Class 5 & 6 gear manufacturing.

High Helix Gear Hobbing

Installed the HLC-150H high helix gear hobbing machine, adding further flexibility and cost efficiency.

Growth Vision

Targeting ₹500 Crores in group turnover, a minimum 60% market share in 2W/3W EV motor shafts, and expansion into steering pinions, steering worms, and armature assembly.

Vision 2030

Our vision is to scale group turnover to ₹500 Crores by FY 2029 — growing from a projected ₹250 Crores in 2025 to ₹350 Crores by 2027. To get there, Srimukha is investing in gear grinding technologies, targeting a minimum 60% market share in 2W/3W EV motor shafts and powertrains, and expanding into steering pinions, steering worms, and armature assembly operations.
