Srimukha is a key supply-chain partner to leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers. Srimukha’s dedicated EV motor vertical produces Hub Motor Shafts and Mid-Mount Motor Shafts, with all processes housed in our Chennai plants. By 2025, our annual EV motor shaft capacity will reach 3.0 million pieces.

Fully Integrated In-House Process Sourcing

To assure OEM-level quality, every stage of our EV shaft manufacturing is performed in-house:

Cold Forging & Near-Nett Shaping: Reduces waste and optimizes raw steel metallurgy using Knuckle Joint presses.
Advanced Machining: CNC Turing, keyway slot milling, deep hole drilling, and splined gear hobbing.
Hardening & Grinding: IPSEN SQF and CNC Cylindrical Grinding to hold concentricity runouts under 5 microns.

Noiseless EV Powertrain Gears

EV gearboxes run at high RPMs, making noise reduction a primary design criteria. Srimukha manufactures noiseless helical transmission gears, utilizing CNC Power Skiving and **CNC Gear Grinding / Honing** to eliminate post-heat-treatment tooth profile distortions.

Stator Sub-Assembly Capabilities

Srimukha executes stator sub-assembly teardown analyses to optimize copper winding volumes and slot patterns. Below is our design study comparison between a 250W Ampere Hub motor stator and a 1000W Khetan stator:
